Wildlife
Wildlife moving into our urban communities results in plenty of damage and destruction. With sharp claws, teeth and determination, wildlife can inhabit places humans would never think they could enter. This can cause extreme damage such as: chewed wiring, damaged vents, ruined insulation in attics, food storage destroyed etc., and making a complete nuisance of themselves.
Mixing wildlife with domestic animals can also spread disease of many sorts, some of which could be transferred to humans.
With Bill Easton’s expertise in trapping and relocation, he can safely remove the animal, and attired in "Regulation Gear", safely clean, disinfect, deodorize, and provide a temporary exclusion device where necessary.
What Attracts Wildlife to Urban Areas?
- Feeding the birds leads to feeding the squirrels, raccoons and other small animals.
- Trying to make pets of wildlife can endanger you, your family and others.
- Feeding wildlife
Types of Wildlife:
Wildlife is just that-- "WILDLIFE". They come into season and upon doing so, even if domesticated, their wild instincts will kick in. Specie specific wildlife populations multiply quickly out of control, when fed and offered a predator free environment.
- Squirrels. Not only will they tear up a home, squirrels can turn on the residents of the home, children and adults. Rabies shots are given in the stomach - a high price to pay to house a "domesticated" wild animal.
- Beavers. Beavers have begun to over run our waterways, causing flooding, blocked watermains, and damaged trees, often affecting large bush areas.
- Raccoon
- Bat
- Bears. Putting garbage, bird feed and other edibles out, does attract the bears. One would not want to be eye to belly of this bear, which is where you would likely measure up.
Watching wildlife from a distance is safer and more friendly in the long run for both humans and animals.
Please note: It is illegal to make pets of wildlife. It is also against the law to trap or relocate wildlife without a license.
If you suspect that you, your family or member of your community could have come into contact with a rabid animal, please make sure they go to the nearest medical institution as soon as possible.
Remember:
It is very dangerous to approach an animal that has strayed onto your property.
Call a wildlife control officer, they are trained to capture animals and recognize symptoms of disease.
It is illegal to trap and release wildlife if you are not licensed to do so.
Play it safe.
